Nebulizers Greenwood SCA nebulizer is used to change medicine from a liquid to a mist so that the lungs can easily inhale the medication.  A common term for nebulizer use is “breathing treatment.”  People suffering from bronchitis, asthma, pulmonary disorders, or cystic fibrosis can be given nebulizer treatments to bring their condition under control.

Breathing treatment lengths can last from 5 to 20 minutes, depending on the type and amount of medication being administered.  For those who have difficulty with inhalers, masks can be provided for easy use. The mask stays in position to allow the medication to be delivered without any external grip.

Nebulizers are made for both home and travel use.  Home nebulizers are larger and must be plugged into an electrical outlet.  Travel size, or portable nebulizers are very lightweight and can also be plugged into a car adapter or can run on batteries.
